JD Vance is up in arms again, this time aiming his ire and heavy weight furniture manufacturer, LA-Z-Boy. The successful couch and comfy chair manufacturer has recently declined Vance’s request to wrap all of their furniture in plastic. Partly to bring back the “grandmother’s house plastic couch you stick to” nostalgia, but also to provide a safe prophylactical barrier for those inclined to be… close… to their furniture.
The discussion began in the wake of Vance’s banning from the stores nationwide after what LA-Z-Boy called a “very disturbing incident” in several of their stores. When asked for comment, Vance’s press team released the following statement, “LA-Z-Boy really needs to be more specific about what ‘loveseat’ means.”
